We are currently seeking a full-time Director of Marketing to join the LL leadership team at our St. Paul headquarters.

Job description
The role of the Head of Marketing is to drive marketing strategy, acquisition, and retention for the Larissa Loden retail brand’s digital and in-person channels. This position oversees the flow of work for the internal and external marketing teams, aligning and directing to achieve a unified vision. The Head of Marketing is responsible for driving paid media performance for the brand in a supervisory capacity - maximizing MER, managing the marketing budget, improving and maintaining the brand’s growth and retention strategies, and working to achieve strategy goals and focus. This position would be on the leadership team at Larissa Loden.

KPIs critical to the success of the position:
1. E-Commerce Revenue
2. MER & ROAS
3. Returning customer rate
4. Boundary pushing brand vision and strategy
5. Marketing team health

Job functions:
  • Leads high-level marketing strategy, including both acquisition and retention, for larissaloden.com, LL social media accounts, email campaigns and flows, the Larissa Loden physical location(s), and events
  • Manages the marketing budget, optimizing campaigns and spending to maximize MER
  • Leads paid media strategy and performance (including, but not limited to, Meta and Google); supervising an outside paid media contractor and making all key decisions regarding ads creative and budget
  • Drives product launch strategy, including scheduling and maintaining the marketing launch calendar, and approving email and social media content
  • Leads the marketing department and provides coaching, direction, and feedback to the team of a digital marketing manager and social media manager.
  • Ensures the Larissa Loden brand direction and voice are aligned across all channels
  • Analyzes reporting metrics to make recommendations and pivots based on data analysis and strategic thinking
  • Manages external partners related to marketing and e-commerce (such as freelancers, consultants, etc.)

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Marketing Manager or Marketing Director with 8 years of experience in prior marketing roles
  • BS/BA in business administration, marketing, finance, economics, communications, statistics, or a relevant field
  • 5 years of experience in paid media
  • 3 years of experience with email, SMS, and social media marketing
  • 3 years of experience with data analysis and making decisions based on data
  • Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, and decision-making skills
  • Proven ability to plan and manage budgets
  • Analytical and creative thinking
  • Ability to dive into innovation and big-picture thinking; comfortable with taking risks and trying new things
  • Up to speed with current and online marketing techniques and best practices
  • Excellent copywriting skills
  • Thorough knowledge of e-commerce marketing analytics (e.g. Google Analytics, Meta, Shopify, etc.)
Preferred qualifications:
  • MBA with a marketing or finance focus is a plus, but not required
  • Experience with the platforms Shopify, Airtable, Klaviyo
  • Experience with print marketing and advertising (flyers, signage, catalogs, etc.)
  • 5 years of experience working in product-based retail, a plus is a focus on jewelry sales/marketing
